Terms of service#

These terms govern the use of domainsearch24.eu ("the service"), operated by botBrains GmbH, Berlin ("we"). By using the service you accept them.

The service#

domainsearch answers whether domain names appear to be registered, via a web interface and a JSON API. It aggregates public sources (DNS, RDAP registries, ICANN zone data, Common Crawl). The service is provided free of charge.

No guarantee of correctness#

Availability results are best-effort signals, not legal or commercial advice and not a reservation:

• A free result is a moment-in-time answer from the responsible registry. The name may be registered by anyone at any moment, may be reserved, premium-priced, or restricted by registry policy.
• A registered result may be stale for sources with a staleness window (documented in the API reference).
• We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of an availability result, to the extent permitted by law.

Fair use#

Anonymous use is rate limited. You must not attempt to circumvent rate limits, disrupt the service, or use it to build bulk registration-sniping pipelines that burden the underlying registries. We may throttle or block abusive traffic without notice.

Availability#

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is", without warranty of any kind. We may change or discontinue the service or the API at any time; breaking API changes are versioned under a new path where practical.

Liability#

For a free service, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, and to damages arising from injury to life, body or health. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

Governing law#

German law applies. If you are a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
